symphony beach park

A true one-off, this collaboration piece with Matt Parker/Album Surf was featured in the "Above & Below: A Collaboration of Perspectives" art show in San Clemente, Ca. Created to accompany Bree's "Above The Fun" art piece, small painted figures and shapes can be viewed enjoying the warm sea and white wash of this above-earth perspective piece. One of Bree's drone images is visible as an inlay "X" on the top deck. Fine surfboard craftsmanship is displayed with classic glassed-on fins, creative outline, and a mixture of glossy and matted textures.

above the fun

As suggested in its title, this piece represents those fun and seemingly perfect days at the beach. Here in this above-Earth perspective, beachgoers can be spotted enjoying what the day has to offer. Vibrant specs of color delicately pop - increasing interest while complimenting a teal colored sea.

This piece was created as inspiration for the "Symphony Beach Park" surfboard, both featured in the "Above & Below: A Collaboration of Perspectives" art show with Album Surf/Matt Parker (surfboard shaper).

UnTITLED BLACK PIECE

This black work holds so much depth and is best viewed in person. The sheer size and minimalist quality of this work pulls the viewer in and can be interpreted in any way. As a mysterious ocean, or a calm clear black sky above the world that is ready to be explored.

This work is in the process of being named and will be named when purchased.

gliding over her

Cascading blues meet the shore. A blend of lighter blues and teals help to create an inviting and warm abstract.

Our Temporary Perspective

A featured piece from the "Above & Below: A Collaboration of Perspectives" art show with Album Surf/Matt Parker (surfboard shaper). Some pieces can truly help lighten up the room. This is an example of such a piece. Beautiful blonde wood is exposed to emphasize shadow and depth of the incoming surf.

above and below darkness

A true one-off, this collaboration piece with Matt Parker/Album Surf was featured in the "Above & Below: A Collaboration of Perspectives" art show in San Clemente, Ca. A classic above-Earth perspective Maralto style, this piece epitomizes the depth and mystery of our beautiful ocean. Tastefully done, the lower third of the bottom is rich in dark blues/blacks that dance with the white-wash adjoining lighter toned blues/teals that consume the rest of the surface. Wrapping rails meet a matted black top-deck bearing a glossy "X".

dark, light, dark

Inspiration piece for the "Above & Below: A Collaboration of Perspectives" art show with Album Surf/Matt Parker (surfboard shaper). Multi-layered and inverted intersecting lines create a deep mood, but a playful touch is retained as the colors bounce off one another.

Icy Waves

Similar to "Rolling With The Waves," this sister piece was created in my current favorite orientation: portrait. The subtle movement reflect the soft colors dancing on the beautiful wood grain.

MYSTERY BREAK

The stark black mystery water can be interpreted as whatever the viewer would like it to be. I almost did another layer of whitewash but loved that the white was thin enough to be a gray tint. The subtle movement from dark to light is striking against the wood grain.
