Are you wondering how to measure an artwork before you purchase?

Here are some of my tips on how to measure your wall and imagine a piece! You want to be sure that the piece fits in your apartment or home. If it’s from me, or another artist, I recommend that you have a pretty good idea on wall space for an artwork before you purchase it (especially if you are doing a commissioned work).

You will take two pieces of painters tape and place them in a 90 degree angle. Once that’s done, place the tape at the top left or right corner of your wall.

Place your next corner, and repeat that until you have all four corners done. You can move your "imaginary painting” smaller or bigger from there.

Take a step back and imagine your artwork fitting right there!
