GREENROOM ARTSHOW 2026

Flow - A brand new body of work

- photos from the show below -

This work came about after a round few years of untangling my past and coming back to myself. It has been a journey through self-love and deep reflection.

My personal life took a huge divergence that felt out of my control, but at the same time was needed. Because of that I took a huge step back from doing the things that filled my cup, including storytelling & making art.

In the last year, I have finalized my divorce, found a little studio space, my own apartment for my girls and I. I fell in love, fell out of love, fell more in love with myself, took a part time job working hourly for the first time since I was 18. And really took the last six months to heal my nervous system. I became a hermit to go inward. I have worked really hard to heal from past trauma and free myself from any weights. I have quietly been dealing with health problems that have been hard to heal over the last 11 years.

I am been creating new habits and stepping outside the quiet comforts that my recent past life held and stepped back into the unknown but exciting world of producing art and putting on events.

HOW FLOW CAME TO BE

_________________________

This new body of work feels like a culmination of all my past experiences in my artistic/creative life. It is the expression of freedom, empowered feminine and bodied creativity.

A few months ago I attended a group art exhibit in LA. I found myself wandering the booths feeling that creative fire light back up inside myself. A few works spoke to me. Not in a way of wanting to create. I was there just to observe and enjoy what other artists had on show.

In my personal life I was feeling drained from my part-time job that turned full time & missing the freedom of time with my girls that I used to experience when I was a full time artist.

I could feel the motivation to show up to my hourly job wane and my motivation to step into the studio with curiosity enhance. My mom was getting rid of some canvases, and just having them in my studio was like a permission slip. I had some rolled canvas from a previous workshop with a collector, so I went to work. I wanted to challenge myself by only using primary colors, and my only rule was to have fun. To just reconnect with paint to canvas.

Resin has been really difficult with my disability. I will talk more on that another time or you can visit my instagram reels where I talk about some of the ailments in a three part reel.

I grabbed a canvas, some paints and just played. Without restraint only flow, I tapped in. I created the background to the piece "Baseline" and allowed myself to think for a few days what I wanted as a second layer. The filaments came to be as I wanted intricate work placed on top of the abstract.

Some photos are not included - if you attended the show and would like any photos with yourself excluded, please email bree@justbree.com so I can remove.

I am always mindful of others and it wont offend!

All photos taken by me, gallery staff, Lottie girl & Giorgi Quigg.

My daughter Telesia & good friend Whit spinning to the live music by Louis. Look him up on YouTube - Louis Sol. He's going places.

Good friends Jack Soren & Mik with their kids dropped in. Little Duke not so little anymore. Welcome to art show life bud. He knows the game, Jack's been in it for a good long while. Shop his new work here. Its pretty amazing. Handmade collage.

Taken before I realized my camera settings were toggled with and lost the first half of the photos from the show haha. This is the board corner looking out to Kam Hwy.

Luckily the gallery did flood with the most recent storm. I hope it stays that way.

HUME SUPERNATURALS - shop at target or wherever you get your goods, they have been a supported of MOJO since the early days. & Leilei's donated $100 giftcard. Thank you Ian & the staff. Always good people, good food & a constant in the ever-changing North Shore.

Louis & I have been friends for a while now. He would sing live, and I would teach yoga to 30-50 people on my good friend's lawn. It's called the compound. The property is pretty magical and has been around for over 50 years. Lib restored it in such a sustainable way that all that come onto the grounds can help but feel the serenity there.

Thank you again Louis for stopping by to create some magic. He came with his girl Amara, brought a necklace to donate to the raffle prizes, and they sang a duet. You had to be there. Chills just thinking about it.

"TWO SOULS"

Started as one piece.

Ended in 12.

You can collect them on the gallery's website for now. If they don't sell within the next few weeks, I will most likely get them framed and moved to a new space.

Each piece has something special on the back.

Inspired by a lot of things but mainly the present moment.

Raw Canvas

“Greens, blacks, light green, white clouds, sponge needed for leaves. Touch of orange”

Stunning clay browns

White lines, simple but strong.

Stockpiling, all these places will have too many things”

- Brandee Taylor

a gold chain given to me from my Paternal Grandmother. She shares a birthday with my sister, and the girl who's house I created this work in! What a synchronicity. Love you Pipes. Grateful my grandma is still around to visit and talk with for hours on end.

My girls. They were able to make it to Hawai'i. At first they weren't because of the floods. Then I was given a donation from an anonymous donor & I was able to swoop back to LA & grab them.

They are so expressive in their own ways & I wouldn't have it any other way. Love you L&T.

Total freedom & ease when it came to producing this show. The floods came after I had made the calls to my DJ (Tahiti you were missed!), Yohei, and Louis. I probably called a few others before the floods came...but after the flooding and when I was touching down - so many people pulled through to help me get me to where I needed to go.

ART SHOW! From 5-8pm, we had such a nice time. Music, food & drink provided for by the Gallery, excellent outfits as you'll see & kids getting creative amongst it all.

I love my community of the North Shore. It started in Laie, moved around a bit and as I settled into the little mountain above Foodland - my community grew tenfold. I have taught hundreds of people through art/mojo/my studios. I wrote a book in the Pupukea home. Produced shows, fests, retreats and all of that couldn't have been possible without the help of this little town.

So far we have raised over $7k. We are still doing the raffle tickets. We have now moved it to the MOJO studios in California as I prepare for another night of magic in the San Clemente community.

More on that via IG - @justbree / @themojovibe.

For now, enjoy the photos. So much light, so much love.

Top Two are still up for collection. Bottom two will be or have been cut into a few more pieces. Piper Taylor. Creator of top piece. She gave it a feeling "Bravery".

HARRY! We took some photos after this that probably got shared on IG. Great neighbor & friend. Now art gallery friend that has come two years in a row. & thanks for donating! He helped us in raising $945 + counting for Kokua Foundation the night of the show.

Facer Family - Amazing people, collectors, and community members. Missing Oli, but man they have all grown so much! Becky is an amazing vintage finder & has helped with my MOJO productions in the past. Her eye for zuzhing a space is amazing. I remember MOJO Fest 2021 where she help set up her vintage finds across the way from Tahiti's set up & helped me introduce Aida into the world of art spaces! Aida's work is now seen on pareos, walls around the community & farther.

Fun fact, they are also the owners of my very first piece to this new body of work. Baseline. Bought in auction.

Newest member to the Greenroom Gallery team photographed with Kona the shop dog & her man. Thank you for all your help especially when it came to cutting up "Two Souls"!

Donated to Friends of Sunset Beach - Auction & Fundraised is postponed to Fall 2026.

SOUL VEIN

Went for Auction - Sold to a family in Miami Beach, FL.

50% to the Gallery, 30% to Kokua Foundation, & 20% to a little trust I have started for my girls.

Thank you. to everyone that tuned into my live. The virtual space is hard for me. But we did it. Ha. For a full hour. Yew.

Mona & little Tiger. She brought along her good friend who I haven't seen in ages! Such beautiful people inside & out. Mona has raised over $70,000? Using her influence on social media. Helping the people of Hauula - Kahuku. She is now raising funds for North Shore from Haleiwa to Waialua.

Mona organized a ride for me from the airport. You're one of the best Mona.

& check out her husband's family truck & now a full on growing food place changing the way burgers are eaten. Seven Brothers.

Homcy crew. Crystal & Dave included Ryan Facer.

Can't recall what we were chatting about but I know it was good. Thank you for coming through & enjoying the show with us!

Tahiti couldn't make it, we got the dates mixed up. Haha! But I know if she was there mixing music, this one would have been the disco ball of the night.

It's tradition to bring a lei to celebrate. Yohei gifted this beautiful one to me. I had to take it off while I left the show for an hour to regroup. Coming back & seeing it in this light was one to capture. The greenroom family has truly been like family to me over the years. Even though we sometimes can understand each other with language barrier (trust me I've tried to learn Japanese & it doesn't stick like I'd like it to)...we connect on so much more than just art.

Big thank you to Yohei in Hawaii, Yohei in Japan (owner and founder of Greenroom Galleries & Festival in Yokohama each May).

Golden Hour at the front of the gallery. Exit through the back for more parking. Come through the front when you're walking down the sidewalk on Kam. So many stores and local businesses to support.

I'm big on sustainability. It makes my heart really happy I can step away from making a ton of resin. My waste has been reduced, my mind has been clearer in the studio & my body is physically happier with me haha.

No prints are planned to be made from this work. But now I have the capability to print on any medium or product. I kept my resin originals just that. It never felt right to print a photo and lay resin on them. It just wasn't the same.

But I will add a little touch to the reprints if I can! Like I did to Great Awakening.

This work is collected by a private collector in Orange County, CA.

Piper & friends.

Someday soon I hope I can been the art teacher at the local school. My youngest isn't in Kinder yet, but when she get's there I wanna be there making art with all these stunning souls.

The Flash man. Lottie's bestie. Mine too.

Brandee is the epitome of selfless love. Good people. And that work behind her? It was created on one of their properties. Before I flew back to grab my girls I was able to paint, & hang in their hallway to complete by my deadline for the gallery show.

Please go see in person if you are making your way through Haleiwa. 30% of the sales of these works (there are twelve now) go to support Friend's of Sunset Beach. The art & music program for Sunset Beach Elementary.

I think I was showing the Kris Goto's work. Her biggest collection of prints resides at Greenroom. I collected "First Love" that night. It was an illustration of a girl ripping the heart out of a boy. There was a little heart above his head and a little ... message box above hers. Gave me a chuckle.

Suz & Yohei. She was the one to ask me to donate my art to Friends of Sunset Beach back in 2016. So good to see you Suzannah!

Final group photo with the ones that stayed to close out the show!

Thank you to everyone that came, supported near or far & especially to those that donated. North Shore is a better place because of people like you.

There are currently gofundme's, support in ways to volunteer, and provide relief. If you are a tourist visiting Hawai'i, buy a souvenir for a loved one - if you are local - ask where you can volunteer time if you can't give money. There are plenty of healing spaces available to the community but some had to shut their doors to weather the storm.

One that I personally pledged $1,000 to - Megan -  Jenna sent me this text as I offered her a few nights at my condo & talked about how stoked I was to see she hit their goal of raising $60,000 before I could donate.

(im heavily paraphrasing)

"people really showed up and we're completely ok now - definitely send to other people you hear about"

So I donated to a Haleiwa single mom of four & sent Megan what I could.

Kokua Foundation $ is still being counted but we are over $1,500 I believe across the art piece, Greenroom's raffle sales & a portion of raffle sales on JustBree.

Donations to Friends of Sunset Beach will come through the sale of my work. They are fully funded through this school year. Excited to help with next! Thank you Cathy for bringing me in on the capacity I can be!

Lahui donation was anonymous per a donor request but they still wanted to support the show. That was $200, $400 & a portion of a Tier 3.

Microsoft donated directly to Kokua through their giving portal. They were able to match a big portion. & then that same person bought a raffle ticket. Thank you friend!

Friends I was able to help along the way in the recovery of the floods were named at the end of the IG live.

As more raffle ticket sales come through, I will try my best to have full transparency. My brain struggles more with numbers than it does with words - but my manager Jeri has been a huge help.

OH! almost forgot what started it all. The works Japan had sent me from Greenroom Gallery. We raised I believe around $3,000. I have to check with Jeri on that number & works will be shipped out when I am back in my studio next week.

Thank you all for your patience and love. The support has felt endless.
