“I remember flying over this spot, one of my most favorite places to surf and a place I grew up going to.
This day was a small surf day with a mellow crowd. I could see all the little people slowly making their way down the landscape to the shoreline while feeling the breeze. I have spent much of my life on this stretch of beach, so to fly over it and see it from all angles was a huge honor. Something I will never take for granted.
I would say out of every photo taken on this adventure, “Mar Alto” is my most cherished. The mix of neutrals and blues with the minimal lines of white, make me feel like I am transported into an impressionistic painting. As always, Mother Nature is my biggest inspiration and hopefully this photograph can bring those same emotions into your home.
This photograph is intentionally slightly blurry as I loved the feeling of the impressionistic texture.”
